Rachael’s earliest memory of entrepreneurial spirit was while she was sitting in her local launderette pouring an endless stream of coins into the washing machines and thinking to herself, “free washing for life and I won’t have to do it myself, this could be a good little earner for me”. So, she negotiated a price with the launderette owner to sell his shop to her and her mother.
By 15, she was working in a pub with her older sister’s National Insurance number.
“I didn’t see the point of losing income earning opportunities for another year“.
Within a couple of months she had secured several pub jobs. Then at the age of 16 she got an 18k British pounds-a-year post at a wedding outfitter in East London. Later on in life Rachael taught business studies but had a feeling of discontentment. “Why am I teaching business studies, when I haven’t experienced what I teach?” she asked myself.
This led to her getting a degree in business management and start-ups, and then I secured funding for a laptop, raw materials, and started her very first online fashion company. Before long she was learning web marketing, branding and business development. This enabled her to use her skills and gifts with people to help them make create their own businesses and make money with them; and that’s how Rachael Academy was born.
